Exporting Document URL from Lightyear to MYOB Acumatica
If you want to have your MYOB Acumatica file receive and present the URL linking back to the image file in Lightyear, you will need to configure MYOB Acumatica to accept it first.
In order to complete this, you must be a full system admin within your MYOBA file.
Download the zipped folder attached to this article named LightyearAttachmentUrl.zip
You will see this file at the bottom of the article.
Create the new Lightyear URL field within MYOB Acumatica
Search for Publish Customisation in MYOB Acumatica and choose the menu item option show
Press Import within Publish Customisation, and choose the LightyearAttachmentUrl.zip folder to upload
After pressing Upload, you should see the LightyearAttachmentUrl as a project in your list now, tick that line and press Publish
Add the new Lightyear URL field to bills and adjustments forms in MYOB Acumatica
Search for Web Service Endpoints in MYOB Acumatica and choose the menu item option show
Click into the DefaultExtended endpoint name
If you do not have this DefaultExtended endpoint, you will need to create it by following the below steps before continuing
Click into the Default endpoint (with the latest version number) this should be Screen ID SM207060
Click on Extend Endpoint
Give the Endpoint a name and version, as per below (it's important these are exactly as shown below) and press OK
Endpoint Name: DefaultExtended
Endpoint Version: 22.200.001
Find the Bill folder in the endpoint list and click into it, then click on the Fields section
Press the plus symbol to add a new line to the list of fields and ensure to enter in/choose from the drop-down menu the following columns data and press save
Set Lightyear to export document URL link
In your Lightyear account, navigate to accountancy software settings, ensure your account is connected to MYOBA and press edit next to Accountancy Software Settings
Update Export document URL link to Yes and press Confirm
Test Lightyear URL field
Anyone can access the document via this URL, they do not need a login or user access to a Lightyear account in order to view the document URL.
Test exporting a bill from Lightyear to MYOB Acumatica, and you should see the following field in MYOB Acumatica populated with a URL. When clicked, the URL should open a new tab showing the Lightyear document.
