You can fix most Lightyear login problems by using the correct login page, resetting your password or clearing your browser data. Use this article if your usual email address and password don't work, you've forgotten your password, you don't receive a password reset email, or you see unexpected logouts, spinning loaders or error screens.
If you're logging in for the first time, see Log in to Lightyear for the first time.
Go to the Lightyear login page
Your Lightyear email address and password only work on the Lightyear login page. If you search the internet for "Lightyear login", the results may show you the sign-in page for this help centre instead. Your Lightyear credentials don't work on the help centre sign-in page. To log in to Lightyear:
Go to app.lightyear.cloud.
Enter your email address and password, then click Log in.
If you're a member of multiple Lightyear accounts, select the account you want to open from the list.
For more information about the list of accounts, see our company picker article.
đ¤Tip: Bookmark app.lightyear.cloud in your browser so you always go straight to the correct login page.
Reset your password
If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it from the login page. You receive either a one-time passcode (OTP) or a password reset link by email. To reset your password:
On the login page, click Forgot your password?
Follow the prompts to receive an OTP or a password reset link by email.
Use the OTP or reset link to create a new password and log in.
If you don't receive the reset email
If your password reset email doesn't arrive, check the following:
Check your spam or junk folder.
Ensure you're using the correct email address associated with your account.
Verify that Caps Lock or autofill settings aren't using incorrect or out-of-date values.
Unexpected logouts, loading problems and error screens
If resetting your password doesn't fix the problem, or if you see unexpected logouts, spinning loaders or error screens, try the following. These steps fix most browser and device issues:
Restart your device.
Clear your browser's cookies and cache. For steps, see How to clear your cookies and cache.
Try a different browser.
Check with your IT team that your firewall isn't blocking access to Lightyear.
Perform a hard refresh:
On Windows, press Ctrl + F5.
On Mac, press Command + Shift + R.
Right-click the reload button, then select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.
Check that your internet connection is stable and fast.
Ensure your browser is up to date.
If you use Microsoft Edge, try Google Chrome to rule out browser-specific issues.
đNote: If Lightyear is slow once you're logged in, see Why does my Lightyear App appear to be running slower than expected?
Understand sessions and multi-factor authentication
When you log in, Lightyear starts a browser session. The session stays active until you clear the browser cache or cookies, or the session is manually removed. While the session is active, Lightyear doesn't ask you for multi-factor authentication (MFA) again.
